Prior to the start of the school week, our amazing PTA spearheaded by Ms. Rebecca Sprenger, put on the Fall Festival last weekend. What a day of walking, bouncing, dancing, food and fun. Thank you to all the parent and teacher volunteers who made the weekend event such a success. Our OV and Albany community at large really showed up to support our school and we raised upwards of $22,000.00. Way to go Otters!

The school week also kicked off with a spirited Halloween parade and class festivities. Thank you, parents, for respecting our parade route and cheering on all of our students. Students and teachers had a blast seeing all of your smiling faces in the crowd.

Many thanks to Familias Latinas de Albany and our parent volunteer, Annette Mercedes for setting up our Dia de Los Muertos Ofrenda. We appreciate your contributions in making this a new tradition at OV.

Another reminder to please label all jackets, sweaters, and umbrellas with your child’s name, grade, and possibly teacher. As we head into the rainy season, we anticipate seeing more items being accidentally left behind and we want to get them back to you if they go missing. And finally, we have parent conferences for the next two weeks and we look forward to seeing you on campus!
