Our weeks just continue to be full of celebration, cooperation and learning. Many students had the privilege of learning about Diwali and this beautiful celebration. Thank you, families, for sharing about yourselves with us.

As we look ahead to Halloween, please DO NOT send candy to school and remind your students that we do not share food at lunch time. We have students with life threatening allergies and it is important for us to keep each other safe. In celebration of Dia de los Muertos, we will be creating an ofrenda table outside of the library. Feel free to bring a photocopy of a deceased loved one to be honored at our Dia de los Muertos ofrenda on Monday, Oct. 31. Please indicate your student’s name in addition to the name of the loved one so that we can be sure to return them to you.

And finally, some of our 5th grade students spent last weekend building an OV Sandcastle for the LEAP Sandcastle Classic. Thank you, 5th grade teachers, for spearheading this fun event for students and families.

Sincerely,
Ana Delgado
